{"id":660,"date":"2018-07-19T22:43:57","date_gmt":"2018-07-19T21:43:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/goalicego.com\/?p=660"},"modified":"2018-07-19T22:43:57","modified_gmt":"2018-07-19T21:43:57","slug":"menchies-kelowna-2463-hwy-97-n","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/goalicego.com\/index.php\/2018\/07\/19\/menchies-kelowna-2463-hwy-97-n\/","title":{"rendered":"Menchies (Kelowna-2463 Hwy 97 N)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While each Menchies location is laid out differently, I generally find them to be quite spacious and easy to navigate whether you\u2019re picking up something to go or enjoying a treat there.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been having a heat wave so we decided to beat the heat with a lunch of frozen yogurt.<\/p>\n<p>Things of note at this location (2463 Hwy 97 N):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This location is in a strip mall so it\u2019s easy to find parking close to the door.<\/li>\n<li>There are no steps to deal with outside or inside.<\/li>\n<li>The washrooms are single-use rooms and are wheelchair accessible.<\/li>\n<li>Most of the chairs are plastic chairs without arms, but they have metal legs and are sturdy.<\/li>\n<li>There are a couple small padded bench seats.<\/li>\n<li>Tables and chairs can be moved as needed.<\/li>\n<li>The one thing that might be a challenge is reaching some of the frozen yogurt toppings if you are in a wheelchair, due to them being higher up and\/or behind other items.<\/li>\n<li>Some of the frozen yogurt options are dairy-free (sorbet) for those who require or want that.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-663 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Menchies3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"839\" height=\"629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Menchies3.jpeg 839w, https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Menchies3-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Menchies3-768x576.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My favourite flavour is their plain, tart yogurt, and I like to top it with boba, sprinkles, and a few gummy bears. This time I added a few broken bits of waffle cone.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-661 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies1.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"661\" height=\"629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies1.jpeg 661w, https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies1-300x285.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of my companions had this chocolatey delight sprinkled with Skittles and topped with a square of brownie. He reports that the Skittles were a bit of an addition, especially since they became so frozen and a bit difficult to chew, which is something to consider if chewing is difficult for you or you\u2019d like to keep your own teeth.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-662 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"646\" height=\"629\" srcset=\"https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies2.jpeg 646w, https:\/\/goalicego.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/menchies2-300x292.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 646px) 100vw, 646px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This location also provides colouring sheets, crayons, and tape so that you can leave your creations on the wall. I\u2019ve seen some pretty funny things up on that wall, because adults like to have their fun, too!
